Making Each One a Witness.

Pole Green Campus

Who We Are

Located in the heart of Mechanicsville, the Pole Green Campus of Broadus Church is a welcoming, Christ-centered community where people of all ages can grow in faith, serve with purpose, and find belonging.

We believe that church should feel like family—a place where you can come as you are, connect with others, and experience the transforming love of Jesus Christ.

Our Story

The Broadus Memorial Baptist Church story stretches back to 1895, with a rich legacy of faith, growth, and service. After many years in the Richmond area, the congregation followed God’s lead in 2007 to grow our faith community in in 2007, following where God was leading—a growing community in Mechanicsville and Hanover County.

We’re proud to be a church with deep roots and open doors—committed to serving Mechanicsville and beyond.

Worship Style

Our worship services at Pole Green are a blended worship style; the worship service features organ, piano, a praise band, and a multigenerational choir, balancing traditional and contemporary music.

Each Sunday, we gather to celebrate God’s goodness through song, prayer, Scripture, and community. Whether you’re new to church or have been attending for years, you’ll find a welcoming space to grow in your relationship with Christ.

We also offer Children’s Worship, Youth Ministry, and Sunday School for all ages to help every member of your family engage in faith at their own level.

Community & Connection

At Pole Green, we know that faith grows stronger in community. Our ministries, Bible Studies, and Sunday School offers opportunities to build meaningful friendships, find encouragement, and serve side by side.

From Bible studies and mission projects to fellowship events and volunteer opportunities, there’s a place for everyone to connect and belong.

We believe the church isn’t just something you attend—it’s something you live out together.

Outreach & Mission

The Pole Green Campus is the heartbeat of many of Broadus’s local and regional mission efforts.

  • Food Ministry: Partnering with the Hebron Campus to provide meals and groceries for families in need.
  • Firewood Ministry: Cutting, splitting, and delivering firewood to neighbors during the winter months.
  • Handicap Ramp Ministry: Building safe, accessible ramps for those with mobility challenges.
  • Moments of Hope: Serving individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty through meals and outreach.
